Anxiety disorders are the most commonly diagnosed mental health problem, affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year. Depression
Like anxiety disorders, depression can get in the way of of living your lives to the fullest. Activities you once enjoyed participating in no longer feel fun. Even simple tasks, like getting out of bed or getting dressed, can feel difficult, even impossible. You may notice that you spend more time alone, not wanting to see other people or believing that others don’t want to spend time with you. At times, everything feels hopeless.
Trauma
A trauma is an event or a series of events that often leaves us in a state of shock, not knowing what to say, how to respond, and worst of all, how to move forward. Traumas that happen when we are children can have a powerful impact on our adult lives and relationships. Traumas that occur when we are adults can forever alter the ways we view ourselves and the world around us.
